Hi all, I got 3 seeds of fat baby achoca from the virtual seed parcel and they grew into massive plants, sprawling around my allotment and giving the squash a run for their money. I hadn't been to the lottie in a month as I've moved house. So I harvested lots yesterday and not sure how best to store them. It says you can use them as green peppers, so I just gently fried some in some olive oil for lunch, they taste great. If I want to store them is it best to boil and freeze or to pickle or dehydrate? Could I fry or roast some and then freeze them? Should i just store in the fridge and hope they last a while. I've probably not got that many, but as the growing had to take a back seat to the move, its nice to have something.
Also would anyone be interested in any seeds, I'd be happy to swap for anything else interesting or if people prefer could send me an SAE.
If anyone doesn't know them look on the real seeds website, but basically they are from Peru and grow really well in our climate outdoors. The smaller ones you can eat as cucumbers and larger like peppers. They are vines. I've hardly paid them any attention and they've done well.
