If you have the misfortune to have to venture to the blue and yellow hell that is IKEA, have a look at their Kilner style jars and bottles. Quality wise they are bang on (I have Kilner / Le Parfait and Kitchencraft versions and the Ikea ones are every bit as good).
Example:
Korken 0.5L @ 80p a pop.
I'd imagine these would make good storage/delivery vessels for edible Christmas gifts. They also have 1L and bigger and lever top bottles. But enough already.....
