Hello everybody,
My first post so hope its OK.
I made some bramble jelly last year and potted it into small glass jars. Now my brother is coming to visit from Italy and I know he would appreciate some (a taste of our childhood, and jolly delicious too!) The trouble is that he travels without luggage and so is always very tight on the weight of what he can take back.
THE NUB OF THE MATTER... I wonder if I can heat up some jelly and repot it in a plastic container - I was thinking maybe a peanut butter pot. These are polyethylene and so OK with food. But how might I try to sterilise it? Do people think that just sloshing with near boiling water would be OK?
Any advice welcome,
dottie
