Enhanced mince pies

Buy a 6 pack of cheapo mince pies.
I have a tiny funnel that came with a hip flask.
Press it in the top of a pie, makes a small round hole.
Using the funnel dribbel in a teaspoon of port, whisky also works well.
Leave for a day to soak in.

Buy mince pies?!

I've never bought mince pies. The mincemeat is made in November, along with a trial batch of pies to test, and I shall start making pies in earnest this afternoon, some to eat fresh, some to freeze for later in the month.

Buy pies indeed! What a strange idea!
