Friend up the valley leaves today, so it's back to me cooking for us. He's very generous cooking so much for us, but there are times when less would definitely be more. Particularly, less raw garlic...
Lunch: quiche and salad (shop bought puff pastry, I'm afraid; a bit unconventional using puff pastry but it was for the yesterday's Bakewell pud that didn't get made).
Supper: spiced carrot and apple soup.
Haven't made any bread for a few days, so that needs remedying.
