Cooking Tonight (continued)

We've decided we don't really like spelt bread.

We tried it for the first time the other day and wasn't impressed with the flavour. Thought maybe it was the way I'd made it.

Lunch home made squash and parsnip soup. Curry tonight.

Salmon baked with lemon and capers, homemade tartare sauce, potatoes boulangère, carrots and peas. Mince pie or banana bread for afters.

Repeat of last night except no roast potatoes we’re having steamed potatoes instead. With more fresh carrots from the Poly tunnel and curly kale from the garden, and last nights roast beef

Pumpkin and ginger soup for starter, and kale/mushroom lasagne for main ;-)

Creamed baked guinea fowl with mushroom and kale rolled in pasta.
Mince pies and ice cream for pud

I bought pork chops this morning, but they're not what I want. Trouble is I don't know what I do want.

Experimented with soya chunks last night (cooked in a curry) and was pleasantly surprised.
Just taken a courgie and tom pasta sauce out the freezer for tonight to have with minced steak. Could be a cottage (type) pie or could be spag bol, not sure yet.

Rest of the roast lamb for him & crumpets for me.

Smoked cod ( yuk!) with parsley sauce for my husband, lamb steak with mint sauce and gravy for me, mashed potato, carrots and cabbage.

I bought pork chops this morning, but they're not what I want. Trouble is I don't know what I do want.

I feel the same today so it will be my favourite standby of poached eggs on marmite toast.

Grandsons call tonight as he I sowed the guest, so it’s pepperoni pizza followed by doughnuts. Well he is 8 years old. So I added some air fryer fries and onion rings in beer batter (shop bought)

Baked gammon with pineapple, potatoes boulangère, carrots, peas and mustard sauce.

I'll put a Christmas cake in the oven when the gammon comes out.

Stilton and veg bake for tonight. Layers of sliced onion, celeriac, parsnip and potato with creme fraiche and Stilton.
