Same as yesterday, both lunch and supper. With the addition of roast potatoes with the chicken today.
I didn't make flapjacks in the end. Might make a lemon, polenta and almond flour cake instead. There's a bag of almond flour I'm struggling to finish and got lots of eggs to use up. Plus this cake should freeze well too.
Haven't made any bread since ooh... day before yesterday? Had shop bread yesterday. Yuk.

Well I was going to braise the pork chops with the apple yesterday. Went out to the car (fridge extension) to fetch a couple of apples. Somebody (not me) had left them in the shed at the allotment so the chops got braised with shallots, peppers, mushrooms and celery.
Today is going to be roast chicken with roast parsnips and roast potatoes, mashed potatoes with swede, carrots, cabbage and gravy. As I 'm home early (and hungry) due to being frozen at the allotment (having to break the ice to get the watering can in the water butt and saturating my arm and sleeve) I've decided to make a Yorkshire pudding as well. Comfort food!Last edited by greenishfing; 19-01-2020, 02:16 PM.
