Sorry, all change from plans:
Lunch: chicken empanadas (a bit like a very flat pasty) and salad.
Supper: salad followed by sausage and saffron risotto.
Goodness but I'm going to have to up my game. It's not the usual friend up the valley. We now have an Italian friend with restaurant training in residence. His chilli con carne (with dark chocolate) was the best I've ever had. Managed only to have one medium-sized helping...
So lunch: mushroom omelette and salad, I think.
Supper: crespelle stuffed with romanesco and mató (like ricotta), sliced oranges in muscovado sugar and rum syrup.
Not sure about the crespelle, but no spinach and loads of romanesco...
More of yesterday's baked ham and mustard sauce, leftover roast veg from yesterday mixed with couscous with lots of parmesan on top and potato scallops in beer batter.
