  • No piri piri Turkey breast in the supermarket.
    My son brought us piri piri Turkey burgers.
    Never had them before.
    Cooking them with onions, mushrooms, peppers and chunky chips.

    And when your back stops aching,

    • I wouldnt recommend the Turkey burgers.
      We thought they tasted more like sausage meat.
      That's just our opinion of course.

      • I marinated some chicken thighs in yogurt and spice mix cooked in oven , with creamy mushroom and pea rice (kinda risotto and green salad

        • I steamed some potatoes and cauliflower, boiled cabbage and grilled bacon medallions with grilled pineapple rings, and some of the chicken gravy from yesterday

            • Last night was a quick frozen fish and salad, busy day.

              • Last few days we've had, veggie burger with salad, Minestrone soup, then tonight its chilli and Jacket potatoes.

                • Last night was squisotto (winter squash risotto). Yum.

                  Lunch: hummus, bean salad and toast (legume overload!)
                  Supper up the valley: polenta and dried mushroom ragù.

                  Probably yet more bread.

                        Tonight pasta bake I made last weekend.

                        • Last night was a proper Sunday meal: confit de canard, potatoes roasted in some of the duck fat and veg, with orange slices in a caramel and rum sauce. Plus a really good bottle of wine. Running out of red now.

                          Today: home-made baked beans and egg on toast.
                          Supper: going to see if I can persuade friend to cook tonight. He was offering fish and broccoli in a Thai red curry and coconut sauce the other day. Fish and broccoli out the freezer and sauce ingredients out of jars and cartons.

                              • Last night was baked gammon, potatoes dauphinoise, cauliflower cheese, carrots and french beans.
                                Tonight more baked gammon, jacket sweet potato, cauliflower cheese ( I've got a glut), asparagus and onion rings in beer batter.
