      • Home cooked ham, air fried potatoes, carrots, peas, corn and brocolli.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

        • Last night was scampi, homemade tartare sauce, potato scallops, carrots and peas.

Tonight steak in pepper sauce, garlic bread, asparagus, onion rings in beer batter and oven toasted tomatoes (out of the freezer). For the first time in a while I can say that I grew all of today's veg.

Supper: blue cheese and walnut salad, asparagus risotto.

            • Last few nights we've been eating our way through some yummy roast beef.
Tonight is a cross between an aubergine and mutton moussaka and a tagine. Served with couscous.

DON'T GET INVOLVED!!!! Even if clearing up the kitchen is an absolute nightmare. Otherwise they have so many excuses for not trying again.

                            • Stuffed home-made pasta. Not sure what shape. Stuffing based on leftover confit de canard.

Pasta to be made with Italian friend D up the valley. Looking forward to learning how to make those fiddly things like tortellini and cappelletti if there's enough stuffing.

Surprised to be eating so well in these lockdown conditions. Only thing I've really had any complaint about is the cheap jam from the local shop. Mr Snoop refuses to pay 2.50 euros for a jar of anything better. But it's my own fault, really. I know, though he doesn't, that there's a jar of really good raspberry jam in stock.
