The other thing I haven’t found a good use for is milk that’s gone sour and lumpy....
Have you ever considered making apple wine or cider ? Or even cider vinegar ?

Sour milk is good to put into your septic tank if you have one, great for the bacteria generation.

      .
Chestnut I have a similar problem and buying a dehydrator made a big difference once dry apples take up much less space and the do store well either in jars, or bags.

Most of my leftovers get put into a quiche, a spag Bol type sauce, soup, or put into the freezer (including things like grated zest from oranges and lemons)
I too have 3 chest freezers brimming with produce greenishfing!

I reckon I'd do well in Ready Steady Cook - 'what to do with 5 leftover things found in the freezer'

Yes, I was watching something called best home cook on tv last night and they were given pears and told to make a pear dish in an hour . I immediately said, "poached, crumble, sponge or pie " which pretty much summed up all their ideas. (Memories of the pear mountain on the windowsill).

I use lumpy milk in scones or soda bread

Remaining bits in pickle or chutney jars are great added to salad dressings - can purée if very chunky.

^^^ I add them to soups.
Rinse out sauce bottles with a bit of hot water and add those to soup too.

Must add that my husband loves grapes. I tend to use them up by making waldorf salad but any that are left over I seperate, freeze and use in drinks instead of ice cubes.

Wrinkly seedless grapes are also lovely heated in a pan (or microwave) , gently crushed, then poured over ice cream.
Like the idea of ice cubes though!

Left over hot foods are lovely rolled up in a pancake with a spicy tomato sauce poured over them...maybe baked in the oven for a short time for grated cheese to melt on top.

Cold foods are yummy wrapped in soft fajitas with a blob of yogurt and squeeze of lemon juice.

                          Quick Rice

I make a rice dish. Stick in leftovers a bit of onion and some herbs with rice. Add stock and make a kind of risotto. If I have really old veg I boil it up for my dogs (no onion!) - they eat anything we can't finish.
