Saving time in the kitchen.

I actually like cooking and baking (never thought I would say that when I was young and food was simply fuel). However some jobs in the kitchen are boring and time consuming. Some gadgets are, for me, a waste of space simply because they take so long to clean it's quicker to do the job manually, or take up too much room in my kitchen for the amount of times I'd realistically use them and I have other tools that do the job equally well.
What are the gadgets that you would really hate to be without? What do you leave in the cupboard?
My favourite gadgets are my food processor and my stick blender/whisk. I also give worktop space to a Kenwood mixer and breadmaker.
My toastie maker rarely see light of day, neither does my halogen cooker. My juicer is in retirement (impossible to clean easily) and an electric mincer (a gift) I have never found a use for and looks hard to clean. The ice cream maker is also in hiding. ( never enough room in the freezer for the bowl)

For me one of the best inventions of all time is the slow cooker.

The George isn't bad either.

Most other gadgets are infrequently used.

As for manual gadgets my favourite is my ice cream scoop, I use it to batch/freeze mash potatoes

Wouldn’t be without my bread maker ( french loaf on the go as I type )

Garlic crusher........what’s the point! A knife does the job just as well and without leaving half the garlic behind.

Out on my worktop and regularly used ….Kettle, slow cooker, small George grill and food processor.
The stick masher/blender thingy is in a drawer cos it's small enough to put away and the breadmaker and toaster are in the larder cupboard atm, as they aren't being used. (on a diet!)

Wouldn't be without my food processor or jug blender. Have a Kenwood food mixer and use it more days than not at the moment, so more often than the food processor but still think the food processor is more useful to me as I could do the Kenwood stuff by hand, if not as quickly or perhaps effectively.

Other items that are not absolutely essential but which improve my life immeasurably are my pressure cookers. Use one or two almost every day. Today, it'll be two.

Don't have a breadmaker (use the Kenwood for the hard labour), don't have a slow cooker (use pressure cooker instead) and don't have an electric toaster (would love one but not very practical when you live off grid).

I only bring the food processor out of the cupboard if I have a lot of stuff to do and am batch cooking - pastry for mince pies for example, and then I'd probably do a batch of shortbread too, and other stuff. Small amounts of pastry/cake mix/biscuit dough are easy by hand and save washing up. Likewise with the juicer - lovely to use but a pig to clean.

That said, if I had that other lovely gadget, a dishwasher, I'd use them all the time, plus the mincer, and the blender.

I use the breadmaker regularly once or twice a week as my hands don't knead the dough so well now.

I've got a steamer that's never been used (a gift), and also somewhere in the attic is a teasmade from the seventies, also a gift, still in the box. (Tea in bed? Ugh!)

Breadmaker gets used the most, mainly for dough. Slow cooker comes out now and then, as does the food processor (mainly for grating large amounts). Liquidiser is great for summer smoothies and the stick blender for soups and sauces.
And then there's the essential gadget... the corkscrew

Things that get used regularly - toaster, rice cooker, steamer, kettle, Kenwood chef, slow cooker, stick blender and liquidiser. Got rid of the bread maker as never managed to get a decent loaf from it, use the Kenwood for the kneading. Juicer was lovely, but a pig to clean and took up loads of space so got rid. Food processor - I can chop quicker and finer by hand. Garlic crusher ditto.

I don't like cooking and never bake.
I used to think I could be a domestic goddess and an AGA would make me one - so I bought one. It didn't work! It was turned off a year ago and has become a cupboard - same with the dishwasher - its another cupboard.
I have 2 gas rings for cooking and an emergency Induction hotplate.
I use a Remoska as my oven (and I store it in the AGA). Also have a Halogen Oven for bigger roasts. (in cupboard).
Kenwood Chef at the top of the cupboard - needs a stepladder to reach it - never use it.
Food Processor and breadmaker in the garage - just in case!
Stickblender in the dishwasher. Slowcooker - back of cupboard. Electric steamer from freecycle. Used once - prefer to use a steamer on the hob.

I like a little Mouli hand mill for grating cheese, carrots. (Spiraliser used once - back of cupboard).
Use a Deepfryer (also in cupboard).
Toaster, kettle on worksurface - and propagators of course..

In my defence, some of the gadgets were bought when I had the other house - with solar panels - so some of the low energy things (Slow cooker, Remoska, Induction hob ) and the breadmaker (no local shops or freezer) are from there.

My favourite gadget in my Kenwood Chef its out on the worktop and gets used most days, bread making, juicing, blending, mincing, pasta making/ extruding. Only attachment that doesn't get used much is the shredder/slicer I use my spiralizer instead now.
Pressure cooker is handy for soups and stews its a good time saver.

Small gadgets old style tin opener I tried a new fancy model but couldn't get on with it.
Garlic squisher like sP says they good.

Stick blender thing is one I find useful.
OK, need a kettle but not sure where that fits - sort of survive on coffee.

Slow cooker gets used but not so often these days.
It is a bit of a pain to clean, odd shaped, one of The Crockpot things.

The Kenwood can opener bought for me yers ago, but I do try to get cans with pull off lids.
