Anyone know what this attachment is for?

We have had a Braun Multipractic 280 for many years.
Most attachements are obvious but I can't work out what this one is for.
Any ideas?

I'd go with 'chipper' as well. The shape of the cutting bits looks similar to those I saw on Magimix discs when I was looking for a new grating disc for sauerkraut making.

The chips will come out like Oompah Loompah chips: short and fat, which a terrible thing to do to chips. They should no more than 3mm section and no shorter than 75mm.

The chips will come out like Oompah Loompah chips: short and fat, which a terrible thing to do to chips. They should no more than 3mm section and no shorter than 75mm.

Have to take issue here a single chip is made from a single Pink Fir Apple spud, doesn't matter what size it is, 3mm is chip sticks that come in packets for a snack, not for eating with ya dinner...………..lol
