How do I cook khol rabi and what does it taste like?

I often julienne it and stir fry. It is a bit like turnip but nicer in my opinion. I think it's a bit like the stalk of a white cabbage too (which I used to love as a kid). I also like it grated with salad (raw that is!)Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Mine tasted like cabbages! I sliced them thin for stir fries or just diced and ate them raw in salad.

I really LOVE kohl rabi. I'm not bothering with turnips at all next year - just more of the lovely stuff!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
