Freezer Fruit Tray Crumble Bars

just a quickie, had a slice with a mug of coffee when i got in from work tastes just as good when cold, sod the waistline,lost that years ago.

I really shouldn't post my embarrassment but you know how fab I am (not) in the kitchen?

The mixture didn't crumble so I proceeded to make the dough and replaced the crumble topping with porridge oats instead

..... now it's out I've just realised it's not going to excatly "set" is it?

I'm sure it'll still taste yummy though, and if you don't tell them how it was supposed to be, they won't know? and if you have already - just tell them that that Wellie posted up ANOTHER cr*p recipe that doesn't work....?!

I tried it a few mins ago and it was delish (except it would have tasted better the proper lemony/sweet topping)

It's going to have custard dollop on top tonight as if it were a crumble!

Argh, this is torture.

I remade the tray bakes and it's cooling at the mo. I'm desperate to try some but can't because (a) it's not cool yet and it'd be my luck the rest would landslide into the whole making it uncuttable (b) I could end up ruining my appetite for spag bol that's cooking a whole tray bake later

Holly Cottage has got another 'viewing' in the morning, and I thought I might make a Blueberry Clafoutis to stick in the oven prior to their arrival to tickle their nostrils(!)

The Fruit Crumble Bar recipe's great tho', good job I've not got any 'Person Scales' on the premises, I'd hate to know what I weigh now..... still, lots of gardening to burn it off, eh?!
