  • Great book for cheaper/unusual meat

I found this in a charity shop today:

Amazon.co.uk: Nose to Tail Eating: A Kind of British Cooking: Fergus Henderson, Anthony Bourdain: Books

It really is 'what it says on the tin' and maybe not for the squeamish or faint hearted meat eater but it's by far the most varied and interesting collection of recipes for unconventional cuts, offal and game that I've seen to date (and I am not short of cookbooks! ).
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Ooh does it do BSE burgers?
To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower

        nose to tail eating

hi seahorse. yes it's one of my favourite books along with the follow up...st john's restaurant is fab, but in fact it's the type of food my mum cooked when we were small and we all loved liver and kidneys, pigs tails and the like! luckily mum was a good cook or we could have been scarred for life
