Very easy and a good way to use up my lovely turnips that are ready now.
Cut and peel potatoes , plus one or two turnips into small chunks.
Bring to the boil in a pan and gently boil until tender when fork tested.
Drain the water off and add a couple of decent size nobs of butter, some freshly milled black pepper, a pinch of salt or two, a splash of milk and then mash them well together.
Its a lovely turnipy flavored mash that works wonders as a sausage, mash and gravy accompaniment. Just need the runner beans to grow bigger now
