Tomato Sauce recipe needed

Hi all

All my toms are now ready so i want to make a nice sauce for pasta. Can anyone point me in the direction of a recipe?

My idea with fresh ones are to get a large baking tray or dish.

cut them in half and put them on the tray put fresh basil (or any herbs) on top and add lots of cloves of garlic. Add fresh black pepper and cover with a good drizzle of olive oil.

Pop them in the oven for about 20 mins or until everything goes to a nice mush then take them out scrape everything oil the lot and add to pasta.

Oh god I am starving now!

Mandy your idea sounds fab! I consider myself to be quite a good cook (or so my long suffering family and friends say so!) and to be quite honest, I cant come up with a better idea!

You can also cook some bacon till really crispy, (with a chopped chilli or two if desired) add the roasted tomatoes with a splash of balsamic vinegar and a pinch of sugar and cook till nice and gloopy. Very good!
