    Anyone done this???
What do you do? I've no idea other than presume you shell them first.

Not a lot around here this year but when there is I shell them, put them in a single layer on a baking sheet, pour over a tiny bit of oil and sort of roll the nuts around in it so they all get their share then put into a hot oven until you can just smell the lovely scent of them and they look golden and "done". When cold pack into jars with sea salt and seal.
    They make nice Christmas gifts.

Is it too late to roast some of last years?- they are still in their shells.

Sorry, last years will be no good, they will all be shrivelled in their shells.
Temperature? Good and hot 200c? ish.
Hazelnuts need to be used before Christmas to be at their best.

They are in most parts but you need to note and remember the good ones. Hopefully next year will be a better harvest.

I always boil mine. Put a nick in the base of the shell, boil then and then skin after that.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
