So...two Halloween carved punkins later i've made Pumpkin and Stilton soup....Pumpkin and chicken curry ....and most delicious of all toasted salt and pepper pumpkin seeds...mmmmmmm!!! You must try them...so mourish!!

    Pumpkin seeds washed of pulp
Mix in bowl with a touch of Olive oil, Sea salt & Pepper, (optional - chilli)
Place on a sheet of Greaseproof on a tray in oven about 180
Watch them dont let them burn, mix them up every 10 mins.
Give them 25 mins or so...till they start to pop.
Take out put on another sheet of Grease PP
    add extra salt and Pepper
    And eat the lot!!!

Probably a very silly question, but can I use squash seeds the same way?

Thanks Danmon, love the sound of pumpkin and stilton soup and we are having chicken curry on Monday so you've inspired me to make it a pumpkin and chicken curry

Yep! Split them longways with your front teeth to get at the kernel inside.

ahhh! That makes more sense! I roasted my pumpkin seeds, and then wondered why they were so horrible! Didn't realise you had to take thre shells off...
