are you avoidig sugar for any particular reason most of the receipes i can find use alternive sweetners, im told in these books as a substitute use 1 table spoon of honey per ounce of sugar and you can use splender spoon for spoon or as directed on the jar instead of sugar, will keep checking tomorrow as i have about 50 cook books so a slow process. i have never tried sustitutes myself. but i do prefer my cakes made with brown sugar rather than white it gives a better taste and colour.
