I've got lots of salted peanuts, do you think I'd be able to grind them up and add to a flapjack mix?

It sounds fantastic! Peanuts make everything better!
When I make flapjack, I throw in anything I have to hand or fancy at the time, fruit, nuts, chocolate, coconut etc, so long as the overall consistency is similar to when I've make a plain oat one I consider it a completely flexible recipe and one I never measure.Last edited by peanut; 31-05-2020, 06:16 PM.Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

Yes, you could add them to flapjack, either ground or chopped. I would rinse off the salt first. Put them in a sieve and hold under cold running water, then leave to drain and dry or pat dry with a clean tea towel. Should be delicious.

Endless wonder.

Mixed bag of views there, FF. Typical gardeners!
I think if you were to leave the salt on all the peanuts, it would be too much. I'd wash most of it off. On the other hand, it's a good excuse for a trial run...
Edited to add: I'm a bit like peanut when it comes to flapjacks. I once made ginger flapjacks. Bit of ground ginger and some chopped up crystallised ginger. They went down well.Last edited by Snoop Puss; 01-06-2020, 08:48 AM.
