  • Sliced up some of my tomatoes to have on toast for lunch, decided to add one of my red Hot Wax/Cayenne hybrid chillies to the mix, cor that was a bit hot, gave me hiccups lol.

    • Turns out they fancy duck. So that's what we're having. Broccoli instead of green beans. Easier to pick and prepare. It's too hot still.

            • Roast chicken, Roast potatoes, Red Cabbage, Sprouts, Yorkshire puddings, Stuffing Gravy and Bread sauce. We don't have a roast very often so when we do, we go all out

              • Two meals today. The Dutch visitors are so slim, it doesn't seem fair!

Lunch: courgette fritters, sweet corn, coleslaw and tomato salad.

Supper: sausage and saffron risotto with salad.

Got to come up with some puddings... Custards for this evening, no idea for lunch. No fruit in the shops worth buying, said Mr Snoop.

                • Cheese and biscuits snoop?
Any cake in your freezer with ice cream/ cream?

Could they help you make something like proper Aebleskiver using bun tins maybe?…probably too hot though for that! ( ask them for their recipe if they have one though!)

Nuts and dried fruit with a liquor perhaps?

                  • ^I've decided I'm just going to fill them up with courgette fritters!

But I will make a cake this afternoon and some mango juice lollies.

                    • Slight change of plan…I spotted a fish pie in the freezer when I went to get the gnocchi , so it’s that and broccoli followed by blueberry tart and cream

                      • Last night was chicken (and courgette) curry with naan.
                        Blackberry crumble and cream.

I'm off shopping soon so it could be anything today.

                          • Didn't make any sweet things yesterday. More trouble than I could manage. So better get on the case today.

Lunch: saltimboccas with broccoli and green beans, sautéed potatoes. Bakewell pudding for afters.

                            Supper: pizza.

                            • I actually have no idea at the moment.
However we do need to attack the meat freezer as we ordered a whole lamb early autumn….so that can’t be long away…and there is absolutely no chance of fitting one in at the moment!

Maybe I’ll feel inspired during my grory hop….
