Ha!!..typo!...how on earth do you change the title these days..I used to be able to do it- so I've either forgotten, or the facility has been removed when we 'upgraded'!

I just love Jean-Christophe..I remember seeing him about 10 years ago with Sue and Mel on a lunchtime program and he got all huffy with them for taking the piss- threw his tea towel down in frustration if I recall correctly- that was hilarious, but I couldn't find that on You Tube.

I think someone needs to invent an imple pudding - it sounds great. It could be quite small, as imps can only eat a small amount at any one time. Can we have evaporated milk in it please?

              absolutely!

the only imps i have are spellinkimps, the havoc they cause they deserve to be drowned in evap and baked on a low heat

                Imple pudding

Shortcrust pastry, whisk evap milk and brown sugar, put in pastry case and bake.

Much like gypsy tart only littler and impler.

A packet of orange jelly made up with half the water
A tin of evaporated milk, whipped.
A tin of mandarin segments, drained

Whip the first 2 together, then fold in the mandarins. Pour onto cheescake base, set in the fridge. Yum.
(And if you want it 'Imple', just make it in tiny ramekins )

                        Bride...

I came back here because I read somewhere about using lentils as a pastry base [for savoury of course], cooking them - smearing on the bottom and sides of a pie dish, baking blind for 5-10 mins and then filling with whatever filling you'd normally use [I'm guessing gravy probably wouldn't work].

Anyway - it's not imple but I'm going to try it for savoury pies at some point.
