I'm going to put some meat and veg for beef stew in the slow cooker shortly. We'll have it with mashed potatoes, purple sprouting broccoli and, at Mr GF's request, suet dumplings.Comment

I've had some puff pastry defrosting in the fridge for a couple of days and it needs using up. If I was sensible we'd have a courgette and feta tart with salad, but it's so cold I don't think that will cut it. Anyone else think mince pies are a good idea?

Nope, no mince pies. Again, the bread was good so decided not to have that plus mince pies. Never told Mr Snoop about the possibility of mince pies, fortunately, otherwise I'd never hear the last of it.
