I've just made a lasagne for tomorrow, I always think it tastes better the next day

Tonight is going to be some kind of soup, either tomato or leek and potato to go with fresh bread and butter. I can hear the breadmaker clanking away now.

Baked potato and as many veg as there's room for on the plate.

Made some madeleines this morning. Should have trusted my gut instinct that the recommended oven temperature was too hot. Not my usual recipe and a wee bit dry, possibly because of the oven temperature. Very nice flavour and I don't think the recipients will mind the texture. Perfect for dunking to moisten, so Proust might not have complained.

Lasagne and salad followed by fruit in jelly with cream. I've made some brownies, but I think they'll be snaffled by a GG!

Tonight fish fingers, potato scallops in beer batter (leftover beer for the cook), peas and parsley sauce.

Orange jelly with mandarins in (already chilling in the fridge) and cream.

I've probably eaten more sugar than is good for me today. Hard to stop munching on our grapes. Black Muscat, we think, and delicious.

Looks like veg soup is the order of the day.

More extremely ripe bananas in the bowl. Already got one banana and raisin cake in the freezer. Looks like another two might join it.

Southern fried chicken, chips and salad. Brownie and ice cream - she didn't snaffle them all

Hake and assorted veg for supper.

Sourdough loaf to start off for baking tomorrow morning. Orange ring cake for a friend. And possibly a mincemeat cake for us too.

Meatballs, mashed potatoes, PSB, carrots, beetroot and a creamy Ikea type sauce/gravy.

I've got some odds and ends of fruit to use up so some kind of trifle-like creation.
