Cooking tonight (Mk4)

Lamb steaks with onions, mushrooms, charlottes, kale, carrots and peas.

I was struggling to come up with an idea for tonight, mentally reviewing the contents of the fridge and freezer. Suddenly the idea of curry has sneaked in there. I think it's going to be prawn and sweet potato curry with rice and/or naan.

I've defrosted the fillet steak of unknown origin and am keeping my fingers crossed that it's ok for consumption. We'll have something with it and follow it with strawberries and cream. If I'm not on here tomorrow you'll know why

Hot dogs with pasta and mushrooms in a blue cheese sauce.

Mixed veg soup.

Chicken and vegetable soup with fresh bread and butter.

Mincemeat cake with brandy cream.

Steak, with roast potatoes,onions, mushrooms and green and red peppers.
Cheese and crackers and a glass of red.

Meera Sodha recipe for sweet potato vindaloo for lunch. Apparently it's not as spicy as you'd typically expect of a vindaloo. We shall see.

Soup for supper. Was going to be carrot and coriander, but on reflection that would make it a bit of an orange day so maybe not.

Biscuits of some variety for gifts.

Hot dogs again but this time with mixed lettuce leaves, basil, land cress, chives, cucumber, toms and celery with homemade humous.

Ham salad followed by Apple crumble and the steak of indeterminate age was delicious

We've had leftover chicken and vegetable soup for lunch.

Tonight fish fingers, potato scallops, peas and parsley sauce.

Figs and cheese and crackers.

Halloween food - but basically spag Bol followed by chocolate mousse.

Doh…just got back home after a ‘quick’ drinkies and nibbles with our neighbours…*hic …too late to eat so that’s what we’ll have tomorrow.
