Sausage, chestnut mushroom and roast parsnip frittata (including onion, garlic and cheddar) accompanied by rocket and radicchio salad with sea salt, lemon juice and olive oil dressing.

Every year when the kids were young I used to make a big food event of it with all sorts of silly/fun spooky food but since we came here I just do the spag Bol to keep up the tradition.

Its a quick dish and always puts a smile on my face on Halloween.

We ended up having roast pork from the freezer with cabbage. The salmon was lurking too deep in the freezer. But I've found some this morning. So that plus steamed veg.

Edited: just seen your post, Nicos. Love the brains and entrails. Maybe the salmon could be human flesh and then the cauli and broccoli white and green brains...

Beef shin stew and dumplings and maybe a homemade fruit cake for pud , cant beat a fresh made cake thats still slightly warm from the oven

Make a Morrocan style stew using with red kuri, kale, tomatoes and garlic from the garden and had with couscous.

Oven roast parsnip, butternut and beetroot (all with garden thyme), tom, onion and garlic sauce with chunks of soft blue cheese, griddled bulb fennel, and a side salad of rocket and radicchio - (ten home grown ingredients).

Crustless quiches with tomato salad. Apple crumble and custard to scratch the itch that started days back when nick the grief started on about puddings. The custard will be Birds Eye.

Roast squash soup followed by Savoy cabbage with lardons and chopped apple , then followed by rice pudding
( and yes - I blame that ntg for my slight digression from my diet) - any excuse eh?
