      • For us tonight, fish plus salad.

Also, it's a big weekend coming up: our favourite village festivities involving outdoor picnics, greasy pole, tug of war and skipping. The skipping is especially popular and can go on for hours, with everybody apart from the very elderly and very young joining in. Seeing five strapping farming lads in their twenties all skipping together with the rope being turned by two of their mates isn't something I've seen before coming here.

So, that means bun and bread doughs to be made for baking tomorrow.

          • I can't say that either of us were really taken with the keema curry yesterday. It was okay is the best I can say and is not getting added to our "favourites".

Tonight, I think prawn and asparagus risotto.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
