Cooking tonight (Mk4)

Tonight ended up being Lincolnshire sausage, mashed potatoes, carrots, french beans, beetroot, a big mountain of fried onions and gravy. I have a feeling it might be a windy night!!!

Sourdough pizza with side salad of rocket , radicchio and carrot.

Having read about Cullen Skink I’ve been fancying some smoked haddock. And guess what!…the supermarket was selling it today on the fresh fish counter.
So - change of plan ….. veggies postponed until tomorrow and we had tumble salad with smoked haddock and poached eggs.

Tonight will be carbonara

It's no good. That toad is refusing to be eaten. Got to be tonight though. We ended up with pasta and some of my frozen pesto, diluted with a bit of extra oil and some of the pasta water. Really good. So very pleased I did it.

A couple of Irish tea breads, one for us and one for a friend.

I think tonight will be prawn, courgette, and sweetcorn risotto with a salad. I'm hoping I've got lettuce, rocket, peppers and tomatoes when I visit the allotment and maybe even a few Padron peppers as well.

Tonight time might be in short supply so I think steak, salad, garlic bread and beer battered onion rings.

Tonight, leek, pea and mint samosas with a mixed veg curry of some variety or other.

Nothing due to go out of date or needs using up in the fridge so I let my husband choose. We're having sweet and sour chicken and rice.
