Stuffed courgettes with pine nut salsa (Ottolenghi recipe) with salad. Shop bought courgettes but home-grown Sungolds from the freezer.

First new potatoes, Mr Bones! I've only just put mine in the ground... Bet you really enjoy them.

Tonight something using the chicken thighs that are in the fridge. No inspiration yet......

Busy day today so I’m defrosting fish pie we froze a couple of weeks ago. Served with peas or a side salad. Probably the latter.
Oranges for pud - I seem to have bought a few too many!

Our usual Saturday evening tagliatelle and Bol.

I did use two chicken thighs (and froze the rest). I ended up flour, egg and breadcrumbing then shallow frying them and having them with couscous and roast vegetables and a tarragon cream sauce.

Beef and veg casserole with mashed potatoes.

Tonight I think will be salmon baked with lemon and capers, homemade tartare sauce, asparagus (mine!!!), carrot, broccoli and maybe potato dauphinois or potato scallops.

It was far too late when I got in from weeding to contemplate anything but a dinner from the freezer, so Ottolenghi's courgettes will have to wait for another day. We had lamb tagine with spicy lentils and rice. Chocolate for pudding later on...

Going to be a bit more realistic today from the outset: spicy turkey burger with salad and yogurt and harissa sauce. Roll for Mr Snoop too. There's some chocolate left as well. So might as well be realistic about that too.

I decided to make something spicy for tonight - so first attempt at samosas

Also a turkey based curry with 50:50 cauli rice/ basmati rice

I’ve done enough mowing today to warrant proper rice!

Tonight will be tagliatelle bolognese (because I took some bolognese sauce out of the freezer yesterday while I was struggling to get the seafood in and couldn't find room to put it back), garlic bread and salad. A big handful of parmesan to sprinkle on top.
