  • I've got prawns defrosting so I'm thinking "Creamy Pesto Shrimp Alfredo", garlic bread and salad.

      • I'm organised today. I took some chicken thighs out of the freezer last night and put them to defrost slowly in the fridge. I'm going to make them into a chicken and sweet potato curry in the slow cooker. We'll have rice and/or naan with it.

            • Edited: Mr Snoop says hot food better than what I had planned. So Delia's vegetarian moussaka it is, with green salad. Tarta de Santiago in the unlikely event I find time to make a pud.

              Plus a couple of oatmeal loaves for friend and parents.

              Edited: made creme caramels without the caramel for pud in the end.

              • We are going to have meatballs tonight with either salad, garlic bread and spicy tomato sauce OR with mashed potato, carrots, cabbage, beetroot and creamy gravy. If it stays grey and miserable it will probably be the mashed potato choice....I might even let Mr GF choose though.

                I've also just put some stewing beef in the slow cooker with herbs and garlic to make into potted meat in a few hours time. It will probably make three smallish pots, one for the fridge and two for the freezer. At the moment it's my favourite sandwich filling.

                  • Up the valley last night, so no cooking for me. Asked to take bread, but all I had to do was open the freezer and there it was. So that was easy.

                    Big Greek sausage and red pepper stew cook-up tonight for supper and freezer.

                                Some bifteck hache ( a sort of burger) with our own beans and apple purée, plus mashed spuds and a mushroom sauce
