The other lasagne and a side salad.
I accidentally made an apple, blackberry and blackcurrant crumble yesterday…there was cream needing eating up…so that’ll be for pud again tonight.

Nicos, how do you "accidentally" make a crumble? Do all the ingredients jump into the dish and the dish then jumps into the oven? Or do you do it while sleepwalking?
Tonight roast chicken left over from yesterday, garlic bread, beer battered onion rings, salad, coleslaw and parsnip crisps. Mr GF saw James Martin making parsnip crisps on TV yesterday morning and put in a request for some.

Well Nicos did have some cream that 'needed' using up so I blame the cream.
Cannelloni with salad today. Though I should perhaps call them canelones seeing as they were made by the neighbour down the valley and that's what she calls them.
Cauli, pear and blue cheese soup for lunch.
Back again................. The parsnip crisps were crispy but neither of us are overly excited about them. I might make more if we have a real glut at some point but we would both rather eat a mountain of roast parsnips. Obviously the onion rings (my favourite food) were as good as expected.
I did pick up a carton of double cream when I went to get Mr GF's newspaper and I don't know if this is connected to the fruit cake that ended up in the oven this afternoon (a bit late to call it a Christmas cake now). Maybe it magically jumped into the oven. I know it is on a cooling rack now and the smell is tantalising my taste buds.

Te he….
Well, in all honesty there was a space in the oven for one more dish. I already had defrosted fruit in a dish - and there is always homemade crumble topping mix in the freezer so it took less than two minutes from OH suggesting it to it actually being in the oven!
And it must have been faulty…..the dish was full one minute, and empty the next!
Bit like your magic fruit cakes
Tonight is left over beef with a homemade coleslaw and side salad. Stewed apple and yog for pud.

I think tonight is going to be chicken and sweet potato curry with naan. The more we eat of this chicken the more there seems to be left......not that I'm complaining.
All change last night. Ran out of time so we had hake and green beans from the freezer. Going for another try at leek and mushroom goulash with courgetti tonight.
We eventually finished the last of the chicken at lunchtime in a chicken and coleslaw sandwich followed by a small piece of fruitcake and crumbly cheese.
So something different tonight....
Salmon baked with lemon and capers, mashed potatoes, carrots, broccoli and homemade parsley sauce.
