Roast chicken and jacket spuds with french beans. No doubt followed by chocolate Easter nests ( got to make sure they are still fresh!)

I'm thinking Italian bake (with hidden pasta), garlic bread and salad tonight. I think I might make some biscuits as well while the oven is on. Not sure what sort.....yet.

You have my sympathy. At that point I often tell Mr GF either it's his turn to cook....... or he can take me out!

Weirdly enough Mr GF got his pasta-less Italian bake. Normally I make the mince, tomato, garlic etc bolognese sauce for the base of the pasta bake. I then cook some pasta to add to it and top it with bechamel sauce and then mozzarella cheese to bake and brown in the oven. It was only when I poured the bechamel sauce on top of the bolognese sauce that I realised I'd forgotten to cook/add the pasta. It still tasted really good.

We always have fish on Good Friday - we’re having risotto (with prawns, scallops, haddock and peas) and a side salad of lambs lettuce.

I was going to make fish pie yesterday but just as I went to get fish out of the freezer Mr GF said could we just have poached eggs on toast.

Today either fish pie or leek and potato soup with fresh bread.

Not sure as yet but I’ll find something in the freezer whilst getting out the lamb for tomorrow
Pavlova with a lemony topping for pud though.

Decided!…turkey curry with homemade mango chutney and a side salad.
Not very Eastery I know , but we’re both fancying something spiced
