  • Steak and roast potatoes with onions and mushrooms.
Cheese and crackers kers with a glass of red.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

    • With any luck, one of my nephews is coming to cook leg of lamb with trimmings. My contribution, Mary Berry chocolate fudge cake. One layer today, the other for the freezer.

Yesterday we ended up having the leek and potato soup so I was planning on having the fish pie today until Nicos put the idea of curry into my head. We haven't had it for ages for some strange reason and I really fancy it.

Today chicken and sweet potato curry with naan.

                      • Florence Fennel What recipe do you use for pickling?
I tend to put extra cauli in piccalilli , and sometimes add lots of chillies to make ‘chillililli ‘
