Having found some leeks which have not gone to seed, Mr GF is getting his favourite leek and potato soup with bread which has just come out of the breadmaker.

Leeks here too gf, but in a quiche served with a pasta salad and tomatoes
Rhubarb jelly and yog for pud

Mushrooms on toast. Just got to be realistic - it's bread baking day by the look of the empty bread bin, and seeing as we'll have some anyway, I might as well turn it into supper.

As well as bread, chocolate and orange brioches for gifts (mostly...).

This evening meatballs in a pasta and tomato sauce.

Chicken, chips and the sneaky salad then the rest of the Apple pie.

Pork escalope with a sage sauce, jacket sweet potatoes, onion rings in beer batter and coleslaw.

I'll go put some beer in the fridge now to chill for the batter. I just love onion rings.....and obviously the cook gets the leftover beer!

Fish in sanfaina (a kind of ratatouille with no aubergine or pepper - so not like ratatouille at all, but never mind), with rice I think.

Baguette mushroom pizzas with lettuce and a homemade coleslaw.

I'm going to make some cream of mushroom soup and we'll have some crusty bread and butter with it.

Something on toast I think, though don't know what yet.

Fillet if salmon with chunky fries.
Stewed apple and whipped cream.
An Irish coffee with the left over cream.

Nettle and wild garlic soup followed by sausage and a side salad.

Something wrong with our gas fridge. The small freezer above it defrosted. Fortunately, not much in there. Mostly those freezer blocks and all the bread I made the other day (hoping some of it will refreeze OK...), but some meat needs eating up. So last night, a couple of sausages with a slice of pork loin in prunes (fantastic, must make that again) with frozen broad beans and garlicky potato wedges.

More sausages and a lamb chop for tea. Veg to be determined.
