  • We have wild ones in our garden. Wild as in ‘free-range’ rather than ‘party animals’

I’ve never seen live ones being sold tbh gf! Amazing.

    • I think I'll put some stew in the slow cooker and make a Yorkshire pudding as it's a cool day.

Re the snails: if you google images of " live snails market" you get some good photos.

          • I think we are traditional eaters.

Potatoes, cooked ham and a selection of veg.
Strawberries, raspberries and cream..( our own fruit)

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

That sounds interesting, Bren, just like my kind of food. Do you use the veg as the filling with pasta lasagna? Or the courgettes as the pasta? And do you use bechamel and tomato too?

We're up for doro and misir wat, I reckon.

If I hadn't just had a bacon sandwich I could have eaten that MelanieSW !

Snoop I use pasta sheets, then either make a white sauce or use ricotta cheese.
Onions, garlic, grated carrots, courgettes and celery cooked with tomatoes for the veg bol sauce adding oregano and basil.

                            • We ended up having spaghetti with a sausage and assorted veg sauce. Last time I use Lidl chopped toms for that purpose... Flavourless and watery. A waste of good sausages, frankly.

Back to doro and misir wat tonight.

                              • What a disappointment Snoop we buy Aldi toms and sometimes they're in a thick sauce other times they're in more of a juice.

This evening soup with toasted cheese sandwiches.
