  • As Mr GF has got an appointment for his ears syringing at 5pm I've decided on soup.....leek and potato. I'll make it soon and then just reheat it when we get back from the surgery.

I've just got fresh bread out of the breadmaker to have with it.

    Strawberries and cream.

    • Roast chicken, roast potatoes and a selection of veg.
Rhubarb and ice cream for desert.

And your hands begin to harden.

        • I'm thinking braising steak cooked in the slow cooker with onions, mushrooms and carrots to have with mashed potatoes and broccoli.

Strawberry jelly with fresh strawberries in and cream.

your link didn’t take me directly to it. Printed off and now on the pile of recipes to try out! Thanks for that- it looks yummy

Yesterday we had a lunch of meatball and chips at IKEA so in the evening we had beef and gravy butties with meat I’d hidden in the fridge from the casserole ( otherwise we’d have eaten it all) They were yummy - almost like the Xmas butties with gravy and veggies and a selection of preserves oozing out of the side.

Tonight is corn on the cob followed by seafood risotto. I’ve been intending to make this for ages having seen it on here
Probably stewed fruit for pud if we have room for it.

              .
No, it wasn't that one but very similar. I have to say, your one looks like it has a much better topping. The one I made was here:
              https://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/...-fraiche-sauce
But I think your one looks so much better that I shall use the one you found next time.

and yes, as I’ve said several times before, I’m more of a fruit dessert person. Looks like I can be tempted after all!

                        • I think the leftover cooked braising steak will be cut up and going into a pie base with pastry on top. We'll have it with mashed potatoes, carrots, peas, beetroot and gravy.

If they are ripe, nectarines and cream.

That'll use up a couple of courgettes
