      • Last night's meal tasted absolutely amazing for some reason. It was a real meal of leftovers. The leftover braising steak broken up and put in the base of a pie dish with some gravy and veg it was cooked with . Pastry on top. Fried up leftover mash and veg (bubble and squeak) and leftover gravy. It really hit the spot.

I've just given Mr GF choices for tonight...... meat, fish or soup. He's gone for the soup option so I think it will be tomato soup.

More mincemeat cake and brandy cream.

This evening cheese and onion pasties with chutney. Followed by jam sponge pud and custard.

                  • More carrot and coriander soup. Mr Snoop likes it. Which is just as well as I made rather a large batch... Loads in the freezer.

                          You called, Flo?

Got my own soup, but I'll have a lolly if you've got a spare?

Now Snoop, do I love you enough to give you my last lolly? Course I do! (as long as I can have some crackling when you catch the boar)

                            • That is a tremendous sacrifice, Flo. Very grateful.

But crackling might be an issue. Here, pork (apart from belly) is sold without the skin and I believe wild boar are skinned too. But, doubtless it could be turned into scratchings. Would those do?
