  • Well, we both got a bit wet and cold last night in the rain so ended up having a diet-busting bean stew to warm us up. Delicious it was too. So no regrets.

Tonight fish of some kind with greenery of some kind depending on what we find at the shops today.

      • I bought some chickpea pasta yesterday so it’s that tumbled with salmon, peas and yogurt with a side salad of tomatoes and one of our cucumbers and freshly picked lambs lettuce.
Stewed apple and blueberries for pud.

Last pieces of the mincemeat cake. Mr GF has put in a request for another to follow!

          • It might have to be bacon and eggs for us - Himself doesn't fancy a throw out and I hadn't planned for anything else. Not best pleased!

                • Lunch rather than tonight: char siu pork, hoisin and chilli aubergines, some kind of green veg stir fry, rice and (weirdly) naan for Mr Snoop as he will sure as eggs are eggs want some kind of bread. Grapes or chocolate mousse for afters depending on how much room we've got.

The char siu should be good, but the dish I'm really looking forward to is the aubergines: https://schoolofwok.co.uk/tips-and-r...illi-aubergine

                  I love, love, love aubergines.

Edited to change pud from profiteroles to mousse. Less work...

                    • Bean, spinach and courgette Thai curry using our beans, spinach and courgette ( still got about 8 massive courgette needing eating!)
I’ve worked out that if the courgette are dry fried first they hold their shape and don’t turn to mush.
Served with cauli rice and baked banana with a side salad of our cucumber in a raita. ( still got 4 left to eat!)

Apple and blackberry for pud if there’s room.

                      • Soup tonight. Loosely based on Cockaleekie soup. It's in the slow cooker now and already starting to smell good.

                          • Some of yesterday's Chinese left over, so perhaps some kind of stir-fried rice with that for brunch.

And a proper Sunday lunch for an early supper: pork with roast potatoes and assorted veg.

Glad Mr GF came round to the cake, greenishfing. Or is it just an excuse to eat brandy cream?

He came round to it so much that I'm making another one today.

I think tonight will be prawn, pea and sweetcorn risotto.
