Tonight was leek, onion and potato soup to go with the bread the breadmaker made me this morning.

Nicos, I hope your pease pudding type food was good. I once had an old cockney make some for me and I just could not eat it. I moved it round and round my plate and managed to get some of it into a tissue and into my handbag. I really don't know if it was his (lack of) cooking skills or just that it's something I can't stomach😣😒🙁😵🤮.

So basically a ‘variation on a theme’ , in reality, nothing like the real peas pudding …and, apart from needing diluting with milk today , it was very much less sold.
(I’m very much for adapting recipes if it makes them more appealing)

I've got a beef and vegetable stew gently cooking in the slow cooker and I've mixed some Yorkshire pudding batter and put it to stand in the fridge.

Tonight I'll put some of yesterdays beef and vegetable stew into a pie dish and cover with pastry. We'll have it with mashed potato, cabbage and gravy.
