Sometimes when we want a quick pudding I cheat and make a microwave one, 2 oz of flour, butter, sugar and eggs. Beat together mix in fruit or a dollop of jam in the bottom then cook in a pudding basin for 3 mins.
Perfect

While we're talking about puddings what's your Custard preference ?
Tinned
Powder
Homemade.
yes
I like proper custard made with eggs etc but you can't beat a huge jug of birds custard (I make mine in the microwave) and I loves the skin off it ... Mainly because at home no one else did so I worked out you got a bigger dollop that without
Tinned is OK if you're desperate as is the instant stuff ...
My job at christmas is to mke the custard for the trifle that only me and Mrs G eat

Pity he doesn’t get it very often!
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
I've never had Bread and butter pudding or that other one summer pudding, it just seems wrong to me bread should be for sandwiches.
I love how we all like different things.

I had a very nice one in scotland once that had marmalade and whiskey added to the mix and I don't like whiskey particularly
