Remind me to never make bread after a few to many drinks! hahaha.
Bread didn't turn out right coz I put cold water instead of warm water to activate the yeast.

How many read the tin? Microscopic writing buried in guff. Just seen it also says to use within four months of opening.
I have also found a non-bio detergent which is not to be used with wool and a general cleaner which I was going going to soak cooker hood filters in which said not to be left in prolonged contact with aluminium! All buried on the back in small writing. A magnifying glass is useful.

That’s probably why I tend to stick to tried and tested brands…but even then, they seem to be subject to change….and not always for the better either

I have a kitchen aid rather than a bread maker but always use the same recipe for a basic loaf and it works every time.

500g bread flour -mostly white but I usually add about 50g wholemeal
              350g water
7g dried yeast - the green tin
              about 5g salt

I do a slightly different recipe when I make pizza dough - it has a bit of oil in it.
