  • Drying citrus slices?

What's the easiest and best way to dry sliced lemons, oranges and/or leftover peel, if you've used the flesh, etc?

I can't afford a dessicator and I've searched for 'oven drying' but only pulled up toms.

    Thanks.

I have always done my peel on a tray lined with greaseproof paper in the airing cupboard.
slices i string on cotton and hang across the cupboard.

no room for linen of course, but hey *shrug* the rest of the airing cupboard is full of logs drying for carving anyway

I don't know about drying Crazy Red. I freeze mine. I keep a bag of lemons in the freezer and just take them out as I want to use them.
For things like curry which ask for the juice of a lemon I just half the lemon and put the whole thing in.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
