Spag bol went weird! I picked the bottle out of the rack in the cupboard under the stairs, opened it and poured a goodly quantity into the pan. Then I noticed that it was Mavrodaphni and not Chianti . Not so much spag bol as spag chutney. We decided that MIL might like it, since she's got a sweet tooth. It still went down alright though, but I might take more care next time...

Tonight, Mr GF's choice, homemade mushroom soup with a dish of parmesan and bread and butter.

Rice pudding with lots of nutmeg.

Steak Diane with chips, mini sweet corn and peas for lunch.

By the skin Snoop Puss - but I think I've adapted to it! Breakfast sandwich this morning was a challenge, but I soldiered on with a knife and fork

We had a late lunch so just having pizza.

In the end, the broccoli curry lives to fight another day as we had aubergine parmigiana instead. Leftovers for today, hooray.

Chinese pork curry, brown rice and chips yesterday.

Today I'm putting the slow cooker on to do a bit of a coq au vin style with maybe additional tomato , will have with the last of my new potatoes , my runners and peas

I'm thinking fish pie tonight, made with cod out of the freezer. Carrots and peas to go with it.

If there's any nice strawberries about we'll have some with cream

Well, it was going to be homemade pizza but we’re going to be out too late now this afternoon.
So…steak, chips, mushrooms and a fried egg with a healthy side salad of our own runners in a vinegrette

Orange for pud
