Beef and veg casserole this evening.

I'm going to roast a chicken today. I think we might have it with mashed and roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli and gravy.

Strawberries and cream.

I think today will be some of yesterday's leftover chicken, with tomato, pesto, and mozzarella bake, garlic bread and maybe a few beer battered onion rings.

Strawberries and cream if there are any nice ones, if not mince pies.

I'll strip any remaining meat off the chicken carcase and put it in the slow cooker to make chicken stock.

Meatballs with rigatoni. Plums for afters.

Minced beef Hash and dumplings.

Meatball pasta bake , salad, slice of sourdough.

Stewed apple and ice cream.

I've got green beans and broccoli that could do with being used up, but I don't really fancy fish again. Wonder what Mr Snoop would think of Spanish tortilla with hot veg... Not conventional, but sensible.

Something light though not sure yet, but I'm making an Apple crumble and custard for afters.

Tonight something with fish.

Cauliflower, pear and blue cheese soup. Might make a rice pud for afters.

Soup weather is upon us and I'm keen to try out my new cordless hand blender. What a treat - no balancing hot pots right on the corner of the stove because the blender cable is too short. Not a brand I'd ever heard of before, so fingers crossed it actually does the job, as it's not hugely powerful.
