We ended up having braised lentils last night. I should just put the minestrone down in front of Mr Snoop and not mention it beforehand. He has a particular way of saying 'soup' that makes it plain he doesn't think it's fair, here he is, working away for our but especially my benefit and all I give him is dishwater with bits floating in it!

Breaded hake, salad and a few chips tonight. Yogurt for pud.

And another loaf of bread. Plain white sourdough this time. Can't be making the good stuff like yesterday's all the time...

Edited to add: And yes, Flo, looking forward to hearing how Himself got on with the rogan josh.

I was thinking about your lamb Flo….so, we’ve decided on Shepherds Pie ( celeriac and potato mash) served with our own kale.
Fresh fruit salad and skyr for pud

Hope Mr FF thoroughly enjoyed his curry Flo!

Minestrone soup. Mince pies and cream for pud to placate Mr Snoop (he's not a minestrone fan).

A repeat of the Dan Lepard fruit loaf with some rye in it that I made not that long ago, but with mixed spice this time rather than cinnamon. I'm as bad as the UK supermarkets, hot cross bun flavour way before it's due!

Nicos we've not had kidneys in years ever since our local butcher retired.

This evening haddock, butterbeans and potatoes in a tomato sauce.

Thinking devilled kidneys with rice…but might be distracted by something else whilst we’re out!

I'm busy cleaning, so it might be fish fingers, chips and peas

Presuming I don't go out, I think today I'll make a chicken pie with some cooked chicken out of the freezer. We'll have it with mashed potato, roast parsnips, carrots, french beans, and gravy.

If we have room for pudding, I'll cut and butter some of the date and walnut loaf that I made yesterday. I've never made it before so it's an experiment. The raw mixture did taste wonderful however.

Last of the pea and leek curry. And another chickpea biryani. A good excuse to eat more of the delicious Geeta's lime and chilli chutney we got given at Christmas by M. So good it's almost addictive. Probably the reason why I've been making so many curries recently, in fact!

More bread and more minestrone to use up bits and bobs of veg.

Sliced turkey from the freezer, so Himself will want a sandwich. I've got some pasta I can put some pesto through. Sponge pudding and custard

I've just taken a couple of salmon steaks out of the freezer. If I give Mr GF a choice on what to have with them, his answer will be put them in a risotto.

Therefore pea, PSB, sweetcorn and salmon risotto.

Eve's pudding I think ... maybe with a few blueberries (out of the freezer) thrown in.
