For tonight I've decided on sweetcorn, pea, chicken and tarragon risotto, made with leftover chicken and chicken stock from the chicken earlier in the week.

Strawberries and cream for Mr GF. (The Strawberries jumped into my basket when I went to get my brother in law some bits yesterday).

For me either cheese and biscuits OR Christmas pudding or mince pie and brandy cream.

So far we have decided on gratin dauphinois and a rice pudding cooked in the wood oven….I’ll need to do a skip dive into the chest freezer to see what we can have with the spuds….

Paella my way with chicken, black pudding and assorted veg.

Going to try my hand at speculaas biscuits. No moulds so I'll just cut rectangles. It's the taste that counts!

Cod in parsley sauce with 'new' potatoes and peas. Got it about right this time, using parsley from the freezer.

The choice was homemade pizza or cauliflower ( and veg ) cheese
We’ve gone for the latter as there are still loads of veggies needing eating up.

Mushroom and veg stir fry this evening.

I love homemade mince pies but we still bought 2 boxes of half price ones yesterday.

Soup here as well. Mushroom, I think, but made with some of my chicken stock. A dish of grated parmesan and some bread and butter to go with it.

Probably mince pies and brandy cream, unless when I pop into the little Sainsburys for my brother in law's TV magazine, something more exciting jumps off the shelf at me.

Flo! Even I've had Christmas pudding and mince pies! Now's a good time to buy mince pies and mincemeat, as they're bound to be on special offer so the supermarkets can start stocking up on Valentine's Day chocolates and the like. Mince pies are my favourite Christmas food. My gran used to make them with puff pastry, so I do the same. I didn't post any on the festive specials thread because they look utterly daft, but lovely with the lid lifted off and cream splurged in.

For us for supper: minestrone soup with bread. Dried apricot fool for afters.

Mince pies and Baileys ice cream.

Naked beans and cheese on toast. It's just occurred to me that I haven't had a mince pie, or Christmas pudding! "Too late was the cry"

Tonight fish fingers, potato waffles, peas and parsley sauce.

I've got blueberries in the freezer. I'm thinking blueberry, or apple and blueberry crumble.

Chickpeas baked in the oven with tomatoes, garlic and black pudding.
    Pineapple for afters.

Might make a cake later (Two Fat Ladies Danish apple and prune cake - perhaps my favouritest cake ever).
