      • Used up assorted veg and did a bung-it sausage stew with Silesian sausages (Lidl were out of Brätwurst), peppers, onions, leek, garlic, tomatoes, green beans and potatoes. Added half a teaspoon of crushed Yellow Seven Pot chilli to the three litres of stew.

We've had vindaloos that were milder. Everyone liked it

                • ^^^^ funnily enough that has been my all time favourite - hot or cold!!……closely followed by peaches and custard. Deffo comfort food even if I don’t need comforting- but heck, a lovely comforting moment always goes down well doesn’t it?

I can now definitely smell the braising steak in the slow cooker and have just decided to make us a mini Yorkshire pudding each to go with it.

Bananas and custard are okay but I prefer to break a banana into a glass, add milk and put the stick blender in, maybe with a glug of honey. Instant milkshake.

                      • GF isn’t it tempting to dip a slice of bread in that lovely braising steak gravy. I’ve resisted doing it up to yet but it does smell good.
I have to keep saying to myself it will only add more to the cooking time.

                        • We're up for another bung-it-all-in Chinese chicken dish. Black bean sauce rather than sweet bean sauce. Probably no pud, as we've eaten chocolate biscuits today. And no, I'm not owning up how many...

                          • Chicken stirfry with lots of veg and rice.
Cheese and crackers and a glass of red.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
