Used up assorted veg and did a bung-it sausage stew with Silesian sausages (Lidl were out of Brätwurst), peppers, onions, leek, garlic, tomatoes, green beans and potatoes. Added half a teaspoon of crushed Yellow Seven Pot chilli to the three litres of stew.
We've had vindaloos that were milder. Everyone liked it
^^^^ funnily enough that has been my all time favourite - hot or cold!!……closely followed by peaches and custard. Deffo comfort food even if I don’t need comforting- but heck, a lovely comforting moment always goes down well doesn’t it?
"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
Braising steak cooked with onion, carrot and celery, mashed potatoes and french beans.
I can now definitely smell the braising steak in the slow cooker and have just decided to make us a mini Yorkshire pudding each to go with it.
Bananas and custard are okay but I prefer to break a banana into a glass, add milk and put the stick blender in, maybe with a glug of honey. Instant milkshake.
GF isn’t it tempting to dip a slice of bread in that lovely braising steak gravy. I’ve resisted doing it up to yet but it does smell good.
I have to keep saying to myself it will only add more to the cooking time.
