Sunday lunch was beef stroganoff, made with fillet tails. Quite nice and somewhat quicker than my normal epic constructions.

As I've got a fruit cake in the oven that I don't want to disturb and I've got tomatoes that are going a bit soft, I'm thinking bacon, egg and tomatoes with bread and butter.

There's mince pies if anybody wants them.

Salad with baked potato. Not sure whether just to have butter or perhaps some kind of filling for the potato.

We found some dim sum in the freezer…not enough for a full meal , so it’s that with chicken fried rice.

Rice pudding for pud…..and/or maybe fresh fruit

I’m making minestrone soup for lunch and the rest to freeze.

This evening our usual tagliatelle, Bol and garlic bread etc.

Homemade soup tonight. Either tomato, or curried sweet potato with coconut milk. I actually think I fancy something a bit spicy. Bread and butter and a bowl of grated parmesan.

A treat for dessert: Strawberries and cream.

Nicos, we're having fish and chips. I remember Friday fish and chips from childhood. But... in my early twenties I often used to end up in one of the less salubrious, and cheap curry houses late on Friday night, (where the entertainment was usually provided by the local pimps and their "girls"), after having enjoyed a few drinks. So it was definitely curry night then.

My thoughts return to childhood memories of fish on Friday ( hence fish n chips!)

Tonight I'm thinking either scampi, potato waffles and peas

    Or

A trip to the fish and chip shop.

Gf’s cottage pie has stuck in my mind since reading her post yesterday.
Fortunately I bought some mince yesterday so that’s what we’ll be having tonight!
